EU AI Act: transparency rules bite

The grace period ends for systems already running when Article 50 took effect on 2 August. From this date a chatbot must say it is a machine, AI-generated content carries machine-readable marking, and deepfakes get a label. The Commission can fine general-purpose model providers directly.
