Binance Futures launched perpetual contracts on shares of five major companies, with leverage up to 20x, U.Today reported. The headline listing: Bitcoin miner MARA Holdings, trading 24/7 alongside the crypto pairs on the exchange.

The other four names rounding out the launch are medical AI developer Tempus AI, quantum computing company IonQ, retailer PDD Holdings, and pharmaceutical giant Merck. Trading opened immediately across all five.

MARA's listing landed in the middle of a rough stretch for the company. Its latest financial report showed a net loss of $611 million as revenue fell 27%. In response, MARA sold nearly a third of its Bitcoin reserves in the first half of the year, raising about $1.6 billion to build data centers and AI infrastructure. A perpetual contract on MARA stock is no longer a clean proxy for Bitcoin exposure. It's a bet on whether that AI pivot pays off.

  • New Binance perpetuals: MARA Holdings, Tempus AI, IonQ, PDD Holdings, Merck, up to 20x leverage
  • MARA's H1 2026: net loss $611M, revenue down 27%
  • MARA sold about a third of its Bitcoin reserves, raising about $1.6B for data centers and AI infrastructure
  • Tokenized stocks on Binance: $581M total value, per RWA.xyz
  • SK Hynix rotation: $87M moved from SanDisk and Micron into a single stock

The listing arrives as Binance's own TradFi perpetuals business keeps expanding, and as its users show a specific kind of restlessness. RWA.xyz puts the total value of tokenized stocks on Binance at $581 million, even as weekly net inflows of fresh capital have dropped to their lowest level yet, a sign that few traders are buying the current dip.

Instead, money is rotating out of diversified positions and into single names. Traders have been pulling out of broad tech exposure like the QQQ ETF and moving directly into individual stocks. The clearest case: traders in the semiconductor sector sold off their entire positions in SanDisk and Micron, then poured all $87 million into one company, South Korea's SK Hynix.

That's the pattern U.Today ties the MARA listing to: traders who've stopped believing in the broader market and want concentrated, volatile plays instead. MARA fits that description well, sitting at the intersection of a slumping core business and the same miner-to-AI pivot reshaping the rest of the Bitcoin mining sector. Whether that pivot works out or not, Binance's own product now lets traders take a leveraged position on the answer without waiting for a quarterly report to find out.
