A GTA 6 meme coin trades at $14.5m with no link to Rockstar
Rockstar's launch trailer for GTA 6, out on 15 October with the game due on 19 November, shows in-game branding for something called Dacity Coin. Traders built a real token with the same name. It has no connection to Rockstar, which declined to comment.
What the pool actually shows
We read the market rather than the coverage. The main Solana pool shows a $14.50m market cap at $0.01477, up 126% in a day, on $7.05m of 24-hour volume against $487,834 of liquidity. That pool turned over 14.5 times its own depth in 24 hours, across 29,568 buys and 21,366 sells.
Three chains, one name
The name is not owned by anyone, so more than one token now wears it. An Ethereum contract trades at a $8.14m market cap, up 244% in a day, and its pool was created on 19 October at 23:42 UTC. A third, on another venue, is worth $7,825 and is down 72.8%. Added together that is $22.65m spread across contracts that share a name and nothing else.
The timestamps tell their own story. The Solana pool went live on 11 October, four days before the trailer aired. The copies appeared on 19 and 20 October, within hours of each other. One person was early and the rest were fast, which is the usual shape of these things.
What the game contains
What the game actually contains is thinner than the market implies. The trailer puts the Dacity logo on a plane. Leaked gameplay shows a mission in which Lucia performs a parachute stunt to draw buyers in, and the dialogue is a pitch rather than a feature. Traders are split on whether the coin turns out to be a side mission, a tradeable asset like the stock market in GTA V, or spendable currency.
“Give them a show. They'll buy Dacity Coin before they even know what it is.”
— Lucia, Dialogue from leaked GTA 6 gameplay
None of those outcomes would give a holder of the real token anything at all. Decrypt quotes one trader sitting on $285,000 of unrealised profit from $20,000, and unrealised is the load-bearing word: a $14.50m valuation resting on $487,834 of liquidity means the price on the screen and the price you can actually sell into are different numbers.
We have measured this pattern before, both in 48-hour altcoin runs and in the rules that followed when California banned officials from issuing memecoins. Two dates settle this one. 19 November, when anyone can see what Dacity Coin does inside the game, and whenever Rockstar decides whether to say something about a name it created being traded by strangers.
Informational material, not investment advice. Market data was read on 21 October 2026, meme coins can lose most of their value in hours, and none of these tokens is connected to Rockstar Games.
