Kraken Pro adds an AI analyst that reads your chart, not your orders

Kraken added an AI side panel assistant to Kraken Pro, an in-chart analyst that reads the chart a trader already has open, the exchange announced. It reads indicators, trend structure, and key levels, then adds the analytical layer traders would otherwise build by hand, including comparing related pairs to see how a move in one market lines up with another.

The assistant lives inside the same terminal traders already use. There's no separate app, no new tab, and no exporting a screenshot into another tool to get a second opinion. Kraken built it to sit next to the chart itself, closing the gap between watching a market move and deciding what to do about it, in the same window where the decision eventually gets made.

The entry point is a set of pre-built prompts available anywhere in Kraken Pro, so a trader doesn't need to know the right question to ask before getting a useful answer.

  • Market briefing: pulls together the Fed, the latest CPI print, and on-chain signals into one read
  • Technical scan: interprets the chart's existing indicators and flags key levels worth watching
  • Sentiment scan: reads how the market is leaning on a specific pair
  • Build a trading strategy: turns a chart idea into a structured set of strategy ideas
  • Review my trading habits: looks back at a trader's own activity to surface their patterns

Analysis connects directly to the order ticket and risk controls inside Kraken Pro, so a trader can move from chart to thesis to trade without switching tabs or copying notes between separate tools. That direct link is the part Kraken is betting on: keeping the reasoning and the execution in the same window instead of scattered across a browser full of open tabs.

Kraken drew a clear line around what the assistant does and doesn't do. It's an analytical layer, not an autonomous trading bot. It doesn't place trades or make decisions on a trader's behalf, and nothing it surfaces counts as investment advice or a trade recommendation. Kraken also doesn't guarantee the analysis is accurate or that following it leads to any particular outcome. The trader still forms the thesis and decides whether to act on it at all.

Kraken's own disclosure spells out who stands behind the advice layer where it applies. In the United States, investment advice on crypto assets comes from Payward Interactive, Inc., while investment advice on securities comes from Kraken Adviser LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser, and the two operate as separate legal entities. Outside the US, the service can extend to AI-generated investment recommendations and, where a trader opts in, discretionary portfolio management, subject to geographic restrictions.

AI side panel assistant is live now in Kraken Pro, and Kraken has framed it as the first step in a broader push to add analytical depth to the trading workflow rather than a finished product. The move follows a wider pattern among exchanges shipping trading features fast, similar to how Coinbase recently brought Hyperliquid perps to Base.
