Crimson sports car lifting off with thrust flames beside five aligned chrome cards

Tesla flew a Roadster, and five tokenized versions of its share agreed

Tesla showed the next Roadster generation in three versions: Performance, Thrust and Rocket. The Rocket carries SpaceX thrusters, lifted off during the presentation and completed a flip. Production is planned for 2028. Each of these tokens is a claim on the same share held by a custodian, issued on a blockchain and traded around the clock.

Tokenized Tesla shares on Kraken traded near $378.50 afterwards, about 4.4% above the previous close. The stock itself was shut at that hour, which is the window these tokens exist to fill.

What five issuers quoted

We priced the same share across five other issuers. Tesla xStock sat at $376.62, up 4.09% on the day. The bStocks version read $376.65, Ondo's $376.89, Coinbase's $375.77 and Dinari's $376.90. The spread between the highest and lowest of those five comes to $1.13, or 0.30%, and Kraken's print stands 0.42% above the best of them.

Five issuers, five venues, one underlying share, and the quotes agree inside a third of a percent on a day the stock moved 4%. The wrapper adds little to the price on a name this liquid, so the risk that remains sits with the custodian and the issuer rather than with the quote.

How big that market is

Those five Tesla tokens hold $117.91m of market value between them, 4.5% of the $2.618bn in the whole tokenized stock category. The category traded $1.023bn in 24 hours, 39% of its own capitalisation in a day, and the bStocks Tesla alone turned over 92% of its market value.

Equity markets do not behave like that. A share that changes hands at nine tenths of its float in a day is a trading instrument rather than a holding, which fits a product bought for exposure between sessions and sold when the session opens.

What is checkable

We wrote yesterday about the former FTX Europe chief filing to run a tokenized US stock venue under the SEC's five-year exemption, and in September about Binance making tokenized stocks usable as margin. The market they are building into prices well and holds little.

What is checkable: whether the spread between issuers stays under half a percent on the next headline, and whether the category's $2.618bn grows once the first exemption venue opens in November.

Informational material, not investment advice. Token quotes were read on 16 October 2026 and move continuously, while a tokenized share tracks a stock that trades on its own exchange calendar.
