XRP and Solana ETFs each cross $1 billion: today's altcoin ETF analysis
While market attention stays fixed on swings in bitcoin and ethereum ETF flows, a less visible but telling shift is happening in the altcoin fund segment: spot ETFs tracking XRP and Solana have each independently crossed $1 billion in assets under management — and both keep growing.
XRP ETFs: A Ninth Straight Week of Inflows
As of July 19, 2026, seven spot XRP ETFs are trading in the US with combined assets of roughly $1 billion and nearly 971 million XRP tokens locked in the funds. In just 50 days since launch, the segment pulled in $1.3 billion in capital, and last week the funds logged their ninth consecutive week of net inflows, adding another $17.19 million despite broader market pressure.
- Bitwise XRP ETF (1XRP) — the segment leader with $245.31 million in assets
- Canary XRP ETF — in second place with $225.91 million
- Franklin XRP ETF — in third place with $167.87 million
Solana ETFs: Over $1.1 Billion in Cumulative Inflows
Spot Solana ETFs, launched in late 2025, have also confidently crossed the $1 billion mark. The flagship Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) manages roughly $760 million, while cumulative inflows across all Solana ETFs have topped $1.12 billion. Fidelity's fund (FSOL) is another notable player in the segment.
How This Compares to the Rest of the Market
As of mid-July, cumulative net inflows into bitcoin ETFs since launch have reached $51.22 billion, with current net assets around $77.72 billion — roughly 6% of bitcoin's entire market cap. Ethereum ETFs show cumulative inflows of $11.04 billion, with current assets around $10.1 billion. Adding up current assets across all four US spot crypto ETF categories — bitcoin, ethereum, XRP, and Solana — the combined total approaches $90 billion.
Why It Matters
The emergence and rapid growth of XRP and Solana ETFs shows that institutional appetite for regulated crypto market access is no longer limited to bitcoin and ethereum. While the altcoin segment still accounts for under 3% of total US crypto ETF assets, the pace of its growth — nine straight weeks of inflows for XRP funds, $1 billion for Solana in under a year since launch — signals to investors that the list of "institutionally approved" crypto assets keeps expanding.
