Drops a phone-shot product into a generated scene and processes a whole catalogue export at once rather than card by card

About the company
Photoroom was founded in 2019 in Paris by Matthieu Rouif and Eliot Andres; Rouif had come from GoPro, and the first version solved exactly one problem — lifting the background off a product photo. That problem is what the company grew on: marketplace sellers do not need art, they need five hundred identical cards on white. The service now also places a product into a generated scene, and does it in batches. Its free tier is more generous than most at 250 exports a month, but every one carries a watermark.
