Grew out of a Kyiv research team and was first to put face swapping into a mass-market app, long before every editor had the feature

About the company
Reface grew out of a Kyiv research team and launched in 2020 as Doublicat; the app hit store charts and gathered tens of millions of installs within months. Technically it is the same problem as deepfakes, framed as entertainment: put your face into a film or music-video frame. It is one of the few Ukrainian companies on this list, and its history shows research reaching a mass product ahead of the large platforms. We quote no subscription price on this card, and that is not an omission: the company publishes no price list on its own site — we checked on 12 October 2026. The subscription sells only through the App Store and Google Play, priced separately in every country.
