Ethereum ETFs Lose $70.62M on Friday, Snapping Inflow Streak
US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a net outflow of $70.62 million on Friday, ending a five-trading-day streak of net inflows, KuCoin reports. Despite that, the funds still closed the week in positive territory.
- Over the five trading days before Friday (July 17-24), the funds pulled in $211.25 million in net inflows.
- For the week overall, despite Friday's outflow, net inflows totaled $103.9 million — the third straight week in positive territory.
- Since the start of July, cumulative net inflows into spot ETH ETFs have reached $337.74 million.
- Ether traded near $1,837 on Friday, down from its weekly high of $1,954 hit on Wednesday.
Neither KuCoin nor other available sources broke the outflow down by individual fund (BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, and so on) — the figures are reported only in aggregate across all nine spot Ethereum ETFs, BigGo Finance notes. No analyst commentary on this specific outflow could be found either — it reads as a single down day against the backdrop of three straight weeks of positive net flows.
Context matters here: a single down day doesn't undo the broader picture — we already covered bitcoin and Ethereum ETF flow trends a week earlier, and the overall trend for both assets remains positive so far, despite the occasional correction day.
