Three identical glossy panels in a row, each holding the same amber upward arrow, with a large coral question mark above the middle one

Three AI models gave LINK the same $35 target on the same date

Cryptonews ran a piece this week reporting that Anthropic's Claude expects LINK at $35 on 1 January 2027. The same site ran the identical forecast twice more: once under Google Gemini's name, once under Microsoft Copilot's. Same figure, same date, same conditional clause.

One number, three models

Three vendors, three separate articles, one LINK price forecast. That is not three models agreeing on a market view. It is one template with the model name swapped, and the sourcing works backwards: the forecast came first, the AI got attached to it afterwards.

  • Claude: $35 on 1 January 2027, under the headline +300%.
  • Gemini: $35 on 1 January 2027, under the headline +300%.
  • Copilot: $35 on 1 January 2027, under a headline that says $35.

Now put the number against the price. LINK trades at $12.07. Reaching $35 by 1 January 2027 means gaining 189.9% in 102 days, or 1.05% every single day without a down week. The headline on two of the three articles promises +300%, which is $48.28, or 37.9% above the target the article itself names. The forecast and the headline selling it disagree by more than a third.

If full bull-market conditions return between now and the end of 2026.

What $35 would actually be

The $35 itself is not the outlandish part. At that price LINK would carry a market cap of $26.2bn against $9.04bn today, which would place it between Zcash and Tron in the current table. It would still sit 33.6% below the all-time high of $52.70 that LINK set in May 2021. A token down 48.2% over the past year and 77.1% from its peak returning to a level it has already been at is an ordinary claim. The +300% in the headline is not.

What none of the three articles say is that a language model asked to name a price has no price feed. It is producing the sentence most likely to follow the question, and the round number that shows up in the training text is the number it returns. That the three models landed on the same $35 is the tell rather than the confirmation. We hit the same gap this week, when the first bitcoin ETF was reported as down 76.4% while its real total return was minus 11.9%.

If you want a view on LINK, the useful questions are what the oracle network is actually paid for and how much of that revenue reaches the token. Our asset guides cover that ground. A price picked by three chatbots on the same day answers none of it.
