Mirae Asset issued tokenized notes on Solana and did not name the size
The Hong Kong arm of Mirae Asset Securities sold six-month dollar floating-rate notes on Solana this week, as a private placement to professional investors under Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Ordinance. Marketnode, a Singapore-regulated market infrastructure operator, distributed them, the Solana Foundation supported the deal, and Mirae ran issuance, payments and lifecycle management on its own systems. The notes come out of the firm's $3bn guaranteed structured note programme.
Mirae did not say how large the issue was, so the ceiling of that programme is the only number on the table. Set it against the chain it landed on. Every real-world asset tracked on Solana adds up to $602m across 12 protocols, which is 14.7% of the $4.11bn tracked across all chains and second place behind Ethereum's $1.94bn. The programme Mirae issued under is five times that Solana total, and what reached the chain this week could be any fraction of it.
Seoul's own rules start in February
Mirae is a Korean broker, and it did this in Hong Kong. South Korea's own tokenized securities rules start in February 2027 and cap retail buyers at $70,000 a year. A Korean firm that wants a structured note on a public blockchain today goes offshore, sells to professionals, and uses a private placement that the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has neither approved nor registered.
“The next stage of tokenisation is about distribution.”

Marketnode is backed by Euroclear, HSBC, SGX Group and Temasek, which puts the deal on the settlement side of Asian capital markets. Kelly Sohn, who heads digital assets at Mirae, and Lu Yin of the Solana Foundation both framed the issue as a template for moving more of the structured note book into digital channels.
The terms that stayed private
The coupon, the benchmark the floating rate tracks, the token standard, the custody arrangement and the investor count all stayed out of the release. The benchmark decides what the note pays, so leaving it out leaves out the terms. Without it and without a size, what anyone can verify is that the paperwork moved onto a public chain and the settlement cleared.
Mirae Asset Global Investments, the group's ETF arm, whose website lists $275bn under management as of June, told the Korean Financial Supervisory Service that it had blocked abnormal access to some of its web systems and that investor data was untouched. The regulator is assessing three financial firms. Solana traded at $102.55 as we wrote this, up 2.5% over 24 hours.
Informational material, not investment advice. The terms of the issue are as Mirae Asset and Marketnode published them on 28 October 2026; the issue size was not disclosed. The Solana and cross-chain real-world asset totals are our own pull from DefiLlama that morning, and the price is Binance's.
